Brilliantly Snuggly Favorites

I miss the fall in North Carolina. The weather is similar to here, I guess.. I think Fall just seems so much sweeter after those miserable, humid, long August days... worth waiting for...

But there are brilliant things about fall for me here, too. It is so darn snuggly. It is the only season in SF where the fog doesn't annoy me at all...As the days get colder and shorter, bundling up and going out for an after work drink in a little pub is cozier than ever. And I adore the fall uniform...folds of rich, heavy material, big antique gold accessories, bangs :) (perfect for fall, yes?), deep colors, and lots of great patterens hailing from the plush living rooms of old world southern homes.

I also love the buzz of anticipation as collective thoughts turn towards holiday parties, decorating, friends, family. I've always noticed this anticipatory buzz, but it is deliciously tangible in the city...

Most of all, I love fall because it is an excuse to nest, hunker down, snuggle, get comfy.. you get the point. I love window shopping and looking online at things (i can't afford) that are perfect seaonal fits..I think I'll use this blog to post my favorite (fall) items...

Wonderful, Kate! I am starting to feel the need for a good book on a rug in front of the fire right now. Sipping hot cocoa and dreaming about powder on the slopes... Bring on the rain I say.
